Seasonal Wreath Workshops @ Kitchen Garden Flowers

Join us in the  Kitchen Garden Flowers polytunnel to make a seasonal wreath.

We make our wreaths with all natural materials at Kitchen Garden Flowers so that when the festive season is over you can just add yours to the compost heap – no wires, no plastic, nothing artificial.

The workshop will begin with Vanessa giving you a guide to the materials and methods we’ll use to make our wreaths. Practically all the materials we use will be from the flower field or the woodlands at our sister site at High Lees Farm.

Working with your choice from the materials we’ve cut and foraged for, and with the guidance & support of Vanessa,  you will learn the techniques to make your Seasonal Wreath. There will be examples of wreaths we’ve made to give you inspiration and  it will be a small group so everyone can get as much help as they need.

This year there are two versions to choose from – a traditional mossed wreath and our new naked willow wreaths.

Both start with a willow circle and are full of seasonal texture and colour.

Traditional Mossed Wreath – you’ll start with a natural willow circle, and we’ll show you how to cover it with sustainably collected moss and then how to decorate with your choice of evergreens, berries and other seasonal bits & bobs from our collection, to create your own unique wreath to hang at home.

Naked willow wreath – this year we have harvested our first proper crop of willow, grown here at Kitchen Garden Flowers. We’ll show you how to weave your own circle with our multi coloured fresh willow which you can then decorate with a garland which you’ll make out of your choice of seasonal foliage berries and dried material.

 

Enjoy a couple of hours crafting your own wreath with us – it’s the perfect stress busting beginning to the Festive Season.

We will supply seasonal refreshments as well as all materials. There will also be gloves, blankets & hot water bottles to keep you warm- which were a great hit last year!

Wear sturdy shoes – it’s likely to be muddy on the way up – and wrap up in warm clothes – we’ll be in the poly tunnel.
