Flower Club

Flower Club is your chance to spend two hours on the last Friday afternoon of the month in the Kitchen Garden Flowers cutting field, playing with flowers.

I was an absolute beginner at the start, but now I know all about flowers, how to condition them and various ways to arrange them. All done in a lovely relaxed and informal way, with the bonus of yummy cakes.

JF

Vanessa will lead the afternoon starting with an introduction to the flower beds, she’ll talk you through what’s available each month and how you might use it – you’ll be let loose with a bucket and some snips to pick your choice and then we’ll work together to make an arrangement for you to take home.

Come and join the Flower Club, very friendly fun group learning new skills and sharing ideas in the outdoors with a wide choice of flowers each month. Great fun!

JM

Each month there will be a different range of flowers in bloom ready to be gathered and arranged. For 2023 we will also look at how you might grow your own favourites.

You don’t need to have any prior knowledge – just a love of flowers! Time outside is with flowers, lovely people and cake is great for the soul!

SM

Flower Club is intended as an informal regular group where you are encouraged to explore British Seasonal Flowers in any way you would like to and to swop skills and ideas with other members. It’s a great way to make friends with other flowery people and to learn new skills in a very relaxed and supported atmosphere.

In addition to fab flowers, you can learn different arrangement skills such as handed bunches and arranging for different sizes and styles of vases.

AT

In 2023 Flower Club will run for six sessions – running from April to September. Last year we added some extra dates for autumn and winter wreath making as no-one wanted to stop.

Time away from the mad world, fun company of like minded people and you get fabulous flowers to take home!

JJM

We meet outdoors in the flower field, so you need to come suitably dressed – for sun & rain & wearing proper shoes or boots – no sandals please!

And there’s always tea & cake!!

There are a maximum of 10 places and booking

will remain open until Friday 21st April – first session Friday 28th April.
