Pick Your Own

We open the Kitchen Garden Flowers field Saturday morning during the season which runs from the start of the tulips in April to the chrysanthemums in September – with an ever changing choice of seasonal flowers and foliage in between.

Our pick your own sessions are an opportunity to spend a couple of hours amongst the flowers selecting a bunch of uniquely seasonal, scented, colourful, chemical-free blooms to take home with you.

Take time to sit & watch the bees and butterflies, listen to the buzzard and enjoy the views.

When you come to pick your flowers:

• We’ll give you a picking bucket with water and a pair of snips
• Vanessa or one of the team will introduce you to flower picking, what’s new this week & give a short tour of the flower field at 10am
• You can spend as long as you like looking and deciding what to cut
• Fill your bucket with flowers – all we ask is that you don’t pick all of one thing.
• Your booking includes one bucket, but if you would like to pick more, you can pay on the day
• Please wear sensible footwear – suitable for wandering in a field
• Bring a clean (enough to drink out of!!) bucket to take your flowers home with you
• Enjoy!

So that we can manage numbers and ensure that there are plenty of flowers for everyone sessions need to be booked in advance.
